Gold Rush Vinyl, in collaboration with Women In Vinyl, is seeking a dynamic Social Media and Production Intern to join our team in Austin. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the vinyl record industry while working alongside industry leaders and innovators.
Gold Rush Vinyl is the high-quality record pressing plant of Austin, Texas, named one of the “Most Innovative Companies of 2020” for its work in “revolutionizing vinyl production.” Since opening in 2018, Gold Rush Vinyl has manufactured records for thousands of indie record labels, bands and artists.

Responsibilities
As a Social Media and Production Intern, you will play a key role in enhancing our online presence while gaining hands-on experience of the ins and outs of vinyl production. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for music and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media:
- Assist the CEO in creating and scheduling content across various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
- Engage with followers and respond to comments/messages in a timely manner.
- Help monitor social media trends and report on performance metrics.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new social media campaigns and promotions.
- Vinyl Production:
- Support the Vice President in production processes including organizing materials, and scheduling jobs.
- Assist in quality control checks for vinyl production and packaging.
- Help with print approvals, and communication regarding vinyl scheduling.
Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- Strong interest in social media marketing and music production.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Not Afraid to Ask for Help: Willingness to seek guidance, ask questions, and collaborate with team members to resolve challenges and improve performance.
